Melaleuca reminds me of the big companies like Mary Kay and Avon. They have been in business for a period of time that it makes absolutely no sense to think that are a fraud. Being focused is tremendously a key factor to being successful in any business. We as Network Marketers has to be knowledgeable on our products. But when you have large amounts of products (anything from nutrition bars to candles) that you are marketing, how many products can you sincerely gain knowledge of then? You will lose focus without doubt. This is why majority of their associates carry around catalogs. Are they any different from a sales associates? I do not find this very attractive.

If small stress is placed on recruiting, definitely not sufficiently or no preparation is provided for their representatives on how to efficiently prospect and recruit for their Network Marketing venture. If you are looking for an extra $100 or $200 per month, perhaps you should just focus on selling the products alone. But if you want to bring in a substantial amount of money and make this a full time business, you have to sign new prospect on the regular basis. There is no way around this. They is doing a horrible job of training their distributors on how to do this.

However if you conclude to become their distributor, you can definitely make money. It all depends on what you do. You have to become skilled at the Art of Marketing.
